2005: Turn the tide on climate change 1 December 2004

Pack 16 In December we asked you to put pressure on Tony Blair to make Climate Change a priority in 2005. We were also asking MPs to support a Renewable Heat Obligation |
![]() |
Blair has admitted that climate change is the biggest threat facing the global community and that he wants the UK to take the lead. But we are still waiting for actions to support his strong words.
229 MPs have now signed Early Day Motion 176 asking for a Renewable Heat Obligation. This makes it one of the most supported motions in Parliament. Renewable heat was not even on the Government agenda last year and it's now forming a key part of its climate change review programme. Thanks to everyone who took action.
