Results of this pack - They're listening!

The European Union is about to draft a new directive which could make everyday products safe from risky chemicals. But vested interests could easily prevent the laws being strong enough to protect public health and the environment.

Our Campaign Express pack on chemicals targeted three key European politicians calling for strong laws. The most important person to influence was David Bowe who has much influence over the new directive.

Thanks to your efforts, Mr Bowe's office was flooded with postcards, each one of which carried a small sample of an every day product from your bathroom cupboard! The idea was to challenge him whether these products were safe.

Following the flood, Mr Bowe called us an asked for a meeting. It was a great opportunity to get our demands over and it wouldn't have happened without Campaign Express. There is now a better chance for strong laws - we'll let you know what happens.

Many Campaign Express participants received a letter from Mr Bowe. Read our response here.
