The Big Month hits halfway

The Big Month is in full stride and details of constituents' visits to see their MPs have been flooding in. Pictured below are just a few of your stories.

Bryan Atkinson (left) from South Tyneside goes to lobby his MP, Secretary of State for the Environment, David Miliband.

Katherine Pitt (left) went to the House of Commons itself to see her MP Meg Hillier.

While for the personal touch, Rudi Vis MP (right) pays a visit to Christine Southam's home in North London to show his support for the climate change bill - and gets a cup of tea out of the bargain.

Boris Johnson, MP for Henley on Thames, stands shoulder to shoulder with Friends of the Earth at a public meeting supporting the Climate Change Bill.

Keith Hill, MP for Streatham, may not yet fully support the Climate Change Bill, but was still prepared to have his photo taken with Claire Weir and her daughter Eve when they went to visit.

Further north in Manchester John Leech MP (centre) was visited by the local Friends of the Earth group.

Nearby Ivan Lewis, MP for Bury South (centre) also showed his support.

Across the water in Northern Ireland David Douglas visits Iris Robinson MP for Strangford.

These are just a few of the photos and enthusiastic responses that have been flooding in as part of the Big Ask, Big Month, Big Lobby.

A big thank you to everyone who has so far signed a postcard or made a pledge to visit their MP.

The Big Month, which aims to see at least one member of every constituency visit their MP in support of a bill on climate change in this year's Queen's speech, runs from 12 September - 11 October. There's still time!
