Johnny Borrell fronts aviation gig

Johnny Borrell of RazorlightMPs will soon get their last chance to beef up the Government's new climate change law. To keep up the pressure, Razorlight frontman, Johnny Borrell, is to play a one-off gig in support of The Big Ask campaign.

The exclusive event will take place on 3 June in front of a jet at London's Science Museum. Johnny will be calling on the Government to include aviation emissions in the new law from the outset.

Missing emissions?

Thanks to The Big Ask the UK will soon have a new climate change law. This will help to make it cheaper and easier for all of us to be climate friendly.

But this groundbreaking legislation has something missing - the UK's share of aircraft and shipping emissions.

If we're to achieve the cuts in carbon dioxide scientists say are needed, we can't ignore planes. Their emissions are growing and do twice the damage because they are pumped out high in the atmosphere.

All other industries are going to be covered by this new law. Every one of them has a part to play in preventing dangerous climate change - aviation should be no exception.

Ticket competition

The competition to win 5 pairs of tickets for this event has now closed but many thanks to all of you who took part in our aviation quiz. The lucky winners will be told by Friday 30 May.

If you've not been lucky don't despair, come back here after the 3 June and check out exclusive footage, photos and reviews from the gig.
