The Co-operative Bank....

Good news! The Co-operative Bank will be working on with Friends of the Earth throughout 2006 to combat climate change.

The Bank and Friends of the Earth will work together on a range of new projects including research, communications and awareness raising activities.

The Co-operative is backing 'The Big Ask' - calling for a Climate Change Bill that would commit the Government to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 3 % per year.

Since 1998, the Bank has refused to invest in business involved in fossil fuels: which is why we support renewable energy and which is why we are launching this year-long campaign with Friends of the Earth to help combat climate change.

Kate Daley, Campaigns Manager,
The Co-operative Bank

Here's looking forward to a great campaign in 2006!
