Half of MPs back The Big Ask

Great news. Over half of all MPs (and rising) have declared their support for The Big Ask.

380 MPs (out of a total of 646) have now signed a parliamentary petition in support of annual year on year cuts of climate change emissions. Find out whether your MP has signed here.

So if any of you have been wondering whether sending a postcard or email really makes a difference - the answer is a clear and resounding "Yes"!

Tens of thousands of you have contacted your MP, and this has really put the pressure on. However, we need to build on the success so far - and develop even more support amongst MPs.

Keeping the pressure on

  • Write to your MP
If you haven't already, please send an email to your MP.
  • Write back to your MP!
If you have received a less than clear response from your MP (surely not!) we can help you draft a reply, just send us their letter. (Our address).
  • Spread the word
Please help us spread the word by asking friends or family to visit http://www.thebigask.com/
  • More postcards?
Could you distribute postcards at your workplace to ask others to join the campaign? If so please let us know and we will send you some.

If you would like to do even more, we have plenty of ideas and would love to hear from you - just contact the climate team!
