Bush action

Climate protesters demonstrate the close relationship between oil giant Exxon (Esso) and President Bush.

Hooked on oil, the US Administration have lobbied hard to block progress at international climate talks, and have pulled out of the only global agreement to cut human emissions of greenhouse gases - the Kyoto Protocol. Now the Texas oil-man President George W. Bush wants to destroy the Kyoto Treaty.

The president has been unequivocal. He does not support the Kyoto treaty

White House spokesman

We're asking people around the world to electronically flood the White House with protest emails. Let's give President Bush a taste of what climate change means and how much people are concerned about it. Already more than 150 000 people from round the world have participated.
