The WTO is unfit for purpose. But the EU is now forcing corporate-driven trade deals on developing countries outside of the WTO.

Deals like Economic Partnership Agreements (PDF†) are part of the European Commission's Global Europe strategy.

This strategy would lock developing countries into unfair trade deals and needs to be stopped. (PDF†)

The call for change

Bolivian President, Evo Morales, has proposed alternative trade agreements - supported by the Trade Justice Movement (PDF†).

Social movements around the world are calling for food sovereignty (PDF†). This is the right for people to decide their own food and agricultural policies.

Friends of the Earth says

Global trade can be made fairer and greener.
We need to make governments act for real change.
The European Commission must stop pushing unfair trade
