As governments prepared to meet for the fourth World Trade Organisation's ministerial in Doha, people came together in London on November 3rd for a Trade Justice Parade to demand fairer and greener trade rules.

The first action of the UK's Trade Justice Movement, the Trade Justice Parade was a colourful, musical procession of floats and people demonstrating to the UK government that it was time to redress the balance...

The parade proved to be a fun event with balloons, fat cat puppets, a trade dragon, pirate ship, wheel of fortune and samba music.

Protesters crossing the Thames drew attention to the negative effects of the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS).

Friends of the Earth's message that greener and fairer trade would mean a safer world was conveyed through big eye catching flags.

Friends of the Earth's flags were carried by local group members, Friends of the Earth Europe partners, staff and supporters.

The Fairtrade Foundation was one of the organisations participating in the parade - the FTF ensure a better deal for marginalised and disadvantaged third world producers.
