Farmers asked to dig up crops

Friends of the Earth (FOE) has written to 20 farmers informing them that the winter oilseed rape that they are growing at 24 sites - including three farm scale trials - do not have a legal consent, and that the farmers should consider digging them up.

The letters follow a successful legal challenge by FOE after the Government unlawfully gave AgrEvo permission to plant the crops.
