No Label on GM Tesco Pizza

The BBC has reported that a cheese and tomato pizza bought in a Tesco store has been found to contain genetically modified (GM) soya but did not carry a label identifying the ingredient.

Adrian Bebb, Food Campaigner at Friends of the Earth said, "Supermarkets are required by law to notify the public if a food item contains any DNA from GM soya or maize. If Tesco has been selling pizzas containing GM soya without an appropriate label - however small the amount - they have been breaking the law."
