First UK organic beer festival held in Birmingham

The UK's first Organic Beer Festival was held at The Anchor, Birmingham's premier Real Ale pub from June 23-25. Beers included Pitfield Brewery's Catford Special and Hoxton Heavy; Caledonia Brewery's Golden Promise and the Organic Brew House's Lizard Point.

Gerry Keane of The Anchor said: "We have been amazed by the interest not only from the punters but the brewers themselves. We have 12 brews from all over the country and this could be the start of an annual event."
