Assembly elections 20031 April 2003
On the 1st of May Wales will elect new members of the National Assembly for Wales. These elections are important because the Assembly has the power to make a real difference on many environmental issues across Wales.
This is why Friends of the Earth Cymru is challenging all Assembly candidates to put the environment at the heart of the election.
To do this we have put together a green challenge for candidates.
The five point manifesto challenges the Assembly to deliver:
- A GM-free Wales,
- a zero-waste Wales,
- transport for all,
- an energy efficient and renewable future,
- planning justice for Wales.
