10 top tips for a greener Christmas

That time of year has come again when we start thinking about what to buy our nearest and dearest without breaking the bank or harming the environment.

  1. Gift support
    Buy your loved ones a years support to Friends of the Earth – they receive gifts including Earthmatters, seeds and ‘The Little Green Book of BIG Green Ideas’, and you know you’ve helped us with our vital work to protect the environment.

  2. Greener gifts
    Shop at The Natural Collection for a wide range of organic & environmentally friendly-gifts. For every purchase you make Friends of the Earth receives a donation.

  3. Buy a magazine subscription
    How about a subscription to a favourite title such as the New Internationalist or the New Scientist. You get a discount of up to 99% off and we get £8 for every subscription bought.

  4. Go local
    Avoid the crazy crush of the high street and buy your gifts from local designers and craft centres.

  5. Send e-cards
