Tip of the day
Create a pile
An uneven pile of logs in a secluded corner of your garden can act as a habitat for hedgehogs, frogs and toads. Half bury the bottom logs in the soil to encourage stag beetles too, as they love rotten wood. Even a pile of stones will offer shelter to a range of insects and spiders during the colder months.
