Save the Mabira Forest in Uganda
The Ugandan government plans to allow over 17,000 acres of the Mabira rainforest to be cut down to establish a sugarcane plantation. This would increase erosion, reduce water supplies, destroy a cooling micro-climate and destroy habitats for endangered species. It would also violate Ugandan law and international treaties. Please ask the government of Uganda to abandon its plans now.
