Low-carbon future
We're heading towards a low-carbon future. Northern Ireland can build on it's traditionally strong industries to build a sustainable economy. Industries like:
- Construction
low-energy building techniques and materials - Engineering
renewables and public transport - Food and farming
organic food sold at farmers' markets
Welfare
The economy should not just be about making money. It should ensure people are happy and healthy too.
Wealth and progress need to be redefined to take account of quality of life not just standard of living.
